Bisk is a world-renowned online education company that helps universities take their programs online. Founded in 1971, Bisk was the first company to offer an online accredited degree.
I have a passion for e-learning and creating products that help people fulfill their goals, so I jumped at the opportunity to join Bisk in the adventure of creating a new brand.
Bisk needed a north star and a direction for the new product. To establish this direction, we organized an off-site retreat with leadership to help determine Bisk’s mission and aspirations as a company.
After the retreat, our team collaborated on creating a new brand including a logo, color system, photographic style, typographic system, tone & voice, culture, mission, values, and website design. Our team consisted of 3 designers, 1 copywriter, and 1 front-end developer. My role was mainly focused on the visual brand aspects of the project and the assembly of the company brand manual.
The brand rollout event was held at an amazing venue and had a large turnout of employees who were excited to see the new brand. It was great to see and hear the reaction to the rebrand. We even got to throw swag off the stage (shirts, hats, and beer koozies) to the enthusiastic employees. I couldn’t have asked for a better branding opportunity or team to work with. It was a great experience for me to learn the ins and outs of branding a large business and building a foundation for company culture.
